Pierre Jacquet Deputy Director of the Paris-based French Institute of International Relations (IFRI) and chief editor of the French quarterly review Politique étrangère. He is also head of the department of economics and social sciences and professor of international economics at the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées. He belongs to the Council d''Analyse Economique, an independent advisory panel created by the French Prime Minister in July 1997. He coedits IFRI''s annual RAMSES report on the world economy and publishes articles on international economic relations and European and international monetary issues.
