The Institute launched In Briefs in 2005 to succinctly summarize the policy conclusions of newly released Institute books, policy analyses, and special reports and to thereby pique the interest of policymakers and other potential readers. These two-page briefs define an issue and summarize the authors’ key findings and policy recommendations. They are disseminated shortly after the Institute releases a publication. These In Briefs do not necessarily reflect the views of the individual members of the Institute's Board of Directors or its Advisory Committee. We welcome feedback from readers and encourage you to convey your comments directly to the authors.
