Visiting Fellows and Other AuthorsRichard BaldwinAuthor BioRichard Baldwin is a professor of international economics at the Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva and co-managing editor of Economic Policy. He is a research associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He was a senior staff economist in the President''''s Council of Economic Advisers (1990–91); a professor at Columbia University Business School; and a consultant to the European Union, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), World Bank, US Agency for International Development (USAID), UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), and European Free Trade Association (EFTA). He has published in international trade, regionalism, European integration, economic geography, political economy, and growth. His publications include The Shape of a Swiss-US Free Trade Agreement (with Gary Clyde Hufbauer, 2006), Towards an Integrated Europe (CEPR, London, 1994), and Economics of European Integration (with Charles Wyplosz, McGraw Hill, London, 2003). He obtained his PhD in economics from MIT and an MSc from the London School of Economics. |
