Ryoichi Mikitani is a professor in the Faculty of Economics, Kobe Gakuin University. A graduate of Harvard University, he has been a frequent visitor to US economics departments. He is coeditor of Japan's Financial Crisis and its Parallels to US Experience with Adam S. Posen (2000).
