Matthew J. Slaughter

Matthew J. Slaughter is a member of the President's Council of Economic Advisers. Previously he was assistant professor of economics at Dartmouth College and faculty research fellow of the National Bureau of Economic Research. He codirects the Globalization and US Labor Markets project funded by the Russell Sage Foundation. He has been a visiting scholar at the International Monetary Fund and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and a consultant to the World Bank, the Department of Labor, and the Emergency Committee for American Trade. He is the coauthor of Globalization and the Perceptions of American Workers (2001).
