Our Web server automatically recognizes only the domain or e-mail address of each visitor to our site. We do not automatically collect any other information about visitors to our Web site.
There are two places on our site where personal information is collected per the visitor's request:
Filling In and Submitting to our Broadcast E-mail List
Our guestbook collects information filled in by the visitor. Visitor's e-mail address will be added to our list to receive periodic e-mails concerning new publications and/or Web site content. If at a later date you would like to be removed from our e-mail list please contact us at: HHillebrand@petersoninstitute.org.
Purchasing a Book
The Shopping Cart Checkout page collects shipping information provided by the purchaser. If you do not want to receive e-mail from us, please let us know when purchasing a book by checking "no" in response to our question: "Would you like to receive e-mail notices of new publications/information from the Institute?" on the checkout page. If you select "yes" but at a later date you would like to be removed from our e-mail list please contact us at: HHillebrand@petersoninstitute.org.
With respect to cookies: We use cookies to record session information, such as items that purchasers add to their shopping cart. This information is gathered so that items placed in your shopping cart will remain there until you check out.
With respect to security: We always use industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged on our site. Credit card numbers are not stored on our server.
