Robert B. Zoellick, President of the World Bank, discussed his outlook for a wide range of global economic and foreign policy issues at an event held at the Peterson Institute on June 14, 2012. Peterson Instiute Director C. Fred Bergsten moderated a discussion with the audience following Zoellick's presentation.

Zoellick became President of the World Bank in 2007 and has led the institution through a series of major initiatives during this period. He was previously Deputy Secretary of State and United States Trade Representative in the administration of George W. Bush, undertaking major initiatives in both posts. He had earlier served in the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations' State and Treasury Departments. During the interims between his government services, he was a top executive at Fannie Mae and Goldman Sachs.
