World Bank President Robert B. Zoellick spoke at the Peterson Institute on April 6, 2011. He discussed the recent turmoil in the Middle East and what it may mean for development in the region and elsewhere.

Zoellick has been president of the World Bank since 2007. He previously served as Deputy Secretary of State and United States Trade Representative during 2001–06 and as Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, Counselor of the Treasury Department and Deputy Chief of Staff at the White House from 1985 to 1993. He has also spent time in the private sector, most recently as Vice Chairman, International of the Goldman Sachs Group and previously as Executive Vice President of Fannie Mae.
